In May 2022, the Spanish school teachers, Ana Martínez and Susi Rodríguez, participated in an Erasmus+ course for educators and traveled to Brussels. There, they spent a week at European School II, acting as observing teachers in the Spanish Language classes taught by Mª Carmen Muñoz and in Physics and Chemistry classes, all for 14-15-year-old students.

We connected from the first moment and agreed to do something with the students. We began to consider preparing a school exchange scholarship for our students to practice English, French, and Spanish languages, ecology, and pollution-related issues. This exchange would involve all students, including those with greater learning difficulties.

This is how we prepared a project under the Erasmus Plus K210 program, which was accepted. On one hand, we enabled students from a small town like Ponteareas to get to know a school with over 4500 students, and, on the other hand, to share classes with Belgian students of various nationalities in a small school.
