The visit to the Atomium in Brussels was one of the most successful. As it is a bit far from the center, we took a bus there, enjoying panoramic views during the journey.
We went inside the building and visited all its exhibitions through the stairs that connect the spheres. The design emulating the nine atoms of iron crystal is spectacular. It was built for the 1958 World Expo and was supposed to be dismantled as soon as it ended, but in the end, it stayed permanently and today is one of the symbols of Brussels. Inside the spheres, there are permanent and some temporary exhibitions. Among the permanent exhibitions, it is worth highlighting the one related to the 1958 Expo, which includes all kinds of graphic and multimedia documents.
